Manual activation of Maple

Windows


To activate Maple 2017, you can locate activation.exe using either a file manager (like Windows Explorer or File Explorer) or the Start Menu. Just in case, run the file "as administrator". The script should be located here:
 

C:\Program Files\Maple 2017\bin.X86_64_WINDOWS\activation.exe


Alternatively, you can use a Command Prompt:

  1. Open a Command Prompt.

  2. Execute the following commands at successive prompts:
     

    cd "C:\Program Files\Maple 2017\bin.X86_64_WINDOWS"
    activation


Once the "Activation" window appears, follow the on-screen instructions and enter any requested information (including your Purchase Code).


Macintosh


To activate Maple 2017, you can locate the activation program using a file manager (like Finder):
 


Instead of double-clicking the script, "control-click" or "right-click" the file, press "Open", and then press "Open" again in the resulting dialogue box.
 

Alternatively, you can use a Terminal Window:

  1. Open a Terminal Window.

  2. Execute the following commands at successive prompts:
     

    cd "//Library/Frameworks/Maple.framework/Versions/2017/bin"
    ./activation


Once the "Activation" window appears, follow the on-screen instructions and enter any requested information (including your Purchase Code).


Linux

 

To activate Maple 2017, you can locate the activation program using a file manager (like Files). The script should be located here:
 

~/maple2017/bin/activation


Alternatively, you can use a Terminal Window:

  1. Open a Terminal Window.

  2. Execute the following commands at successive prompts:
     

    cd ~/maple2017/bin
    ./activation


Once the "Activation" window appears, follow the on-screen instructions and enter any requested information (including your Purchase Code).
